I need the ring of the high kings, so I trief to build a bridge.... my skill is "2" ^^ and so I don't manage to build a bridge.... so what to do? |

Get levels, or potions of education and drinks them... raise the skill, or take _loads_ (about 20) logs... but in this case you'll need pretty much strength and -foo- of carrying... like girdle of carrying and/or armor of carrying |

IIRC, (mr) means that you need material ('M'aterial 'R'equired) in order to advance the skill. IOW, you need to have the manual of bridge building with you when you level up or you won't be able to raise the skill. I'm surprised nobody told you yet that you can freeze the water and walk over it. WAY easier IMO than building bridges. If you don't have a \oCold or any ice spells you could try luring an ogre magus down there. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. Or lure a baby/greater/ancient white dragon/wyrm there. They freeze a path for u pretty quick ;-). IMO, RotHK is bullshit artifact. I usually take on the eternal guardian in melee, or make my pet, like greater earth elemental slay it. Powerful pets can be easily summoned at SMC w/ SoFS. Icesus |

IIRC(a very very vague memory) ice vortices work. BTW, vortice 'threaten' rooms are VERY NASTY for chars starting the game in UD:2. Today a wizard of mine had a blast.
