With the use of the new Talent Map (bless whoever made it!), I have discovered several race/class/talent combinations that have a certain unorthodox flourish to them, not to mention they cover an entire area of expertise within the ADOM world. That isn't to say they wont be difficult to create or play - some, due to racial modifiers, have a ways to go to live up to their destiny, and some have very lofty prerequisites. In fact, they are presented here in the order of least to most difficult to achieve. But if they make it through, the rewards will be grand. :) Read on... ******** Combat Master Dark Elf Paladin Prerequisites: 3 Beginning Talents, ST 18+ Talents: Strong(1), Strong of Will(1), Strong Legs(1), Careful, Quick, Defensive Fighter, All Melee Weapon Affinities, Melee Weapon Master, Basher, Powerful Strike(ST 13+), Mighty Strike(ST 18+), Agressive, Natural Berzerker, Ambidextrous, Brawler (ST 13+) This fellow is certain to become a juggernaut of battle; a whirling dervish. Eventually he will be able to fight full Berzerk without worry as nothing gets close enough to harm him. His Healing skill and Toughness should not be overlooked though. :) ******** ******** Armored Fortress Dwarf Weaponsmith Prerequisites: 1 Beginning Talent, WI 15+, TO 20+ Talents: Tough(1), Hardy(TO 10+), Tough Skin(TO 12+), Iron Skin(TO 15+), Steel Skin(Mithril Skin for Dwarf, TO 20+), Very Hardy(TO 15+), Extremely Hardy(TO 20+), Immune to Pain(WI 15+), Careful, Very Careful, Quick, Defensive Fighter, Shield Specialist, Shield Expert(Shields 3+), Shield Master(Shields 6+) This character should eventually become nearly untouchable; a veritable tower. I have to say the Dark Elven Paladin is my favorite. That must have taken you a long time to do all of that though. It's a great list. (: |

I'm not feeling up for anything but my death welcoming mindcrafters right now but the sorcerer's adept sounds great! BTW, necromancer was the first class I tried to play :-) You wish to kill me? Good thing I brought my psychic hamster named Hamster with me... |

You made the same topic 2 times...aw well, I'll repeat what I said: I'd rather see a hurthling Missile Master. and BTW - you don't need all the affinities, just 3 (slings, crossbows and rocks). Hurthlings will benifit from the strong thrower talent, because they are already great at throwing rocks. The Dark Elf should be a Barbarian - they gain more bonuses from Berserk tactics, it's still possible to get 3 talents, and they have a lot more hp. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |
