I had a Blessed SOS that had +8 +8. All of a sudden, it seemed I wasn't doing the same damage. When I looked, it had chaged to -16,-16. 1st question, what did I do? 2nd question, can I get it fixed? I tried a blessed scroll of repair, but that didn't seem to work. |

gray oozes corode iron and mithril weapons, so that would explain why its -16,-16 if you really want to you could smith it, or use alot of scrolls of increase melee accurcay and damage but your better off just getting another weapon |

Swords of sharpness are made of iron so they get destroyed and corroded easily(they can also rust). Mithril items are more resistant and IIRC even admantium items can corrode when fighting gray/ochre oozes. I think eternium items are safe. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. But the safest way is still to find an artifact, they can't corrode or melt or burn. :P Move the cursor to the desired position and press [SPACE] when done. Impossible. Suddenly you stand elsewhere. You see an ancient altar of black obsidian. The goblin rockthrower suddenly shouts a prayer to his gods! You are consumed by a roaring column of flame! |

Just wondering... does rustproofing an iron weapon make it oozeproof ? If it doesn't I think it should not be called rustproof... Sytytä toiselle tuli ja hän pysyy lämpimänä jonkin aikaa. Sytytä hänet palamaan ja hän pysyy lämpimänä loppuelämänsä. |

It's rustproof, not acidproof. They don't rust, but still can be destroyed by acidic oozes. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

I agree. Rust monsters and oozes are a bit different. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
