Lol. My trollish healer just found a scroll of alignment (or whatever they're called, it might be scroll of balance), and he read it, and got the following: You have a vision. You see a huge scale. The funny thing is that as a healer, he got Literacy - he even learned the Firebolt spell after two tries at reading - but still doesn't know how to count... ;) Move the cursor to the desired position and press [SPACE] when done. What's his Learning? If it's less than 6, you can't even count charges on wands. (Incidentally, can he count his gold coins? I've heard rumours that sufficiently dumb characters can't even do that.) |

He can. I guess it's just a rumor; gold coins are items, and you also never lose track of how many items are in a stack (for example 9 quarrels or 3 potions of healing). He could count all that.
