Actually, if anything ADOM would be a knock off of LotR cause LotR had corruption years and years ago when the books were first written

Hmm, are there corpses in zangband? Because I thought they got the corpses from some other variant/ADOM...

Fine, Prick run off... I so far have a lvl 40 dark-elf soceror, so far so good. The T.O.M.E. code doesn't look any harder than Moria/Angband I might in the far future alter it and make a variant that has a salvation army, home that works like a inn, cookable corpses, and a new race; robot.

When you speak of LotR, you *do* mean the book, right? Because I don't see corruption in there. The only thing resembling it is the effect of the One Ring, and that takes a long time, and there aren't any mutations or stuff...

Move the cursor to the desired position and press [SPACE] when done.
Impossible. Suddenly you stand elsewhere.
You see an ancient altar of black obsidian.
The goblin rockthrower suddenly shouts a prayer to his gods! You are consumed by a roaring column of flame!

Try t-o-m-e.net (finish adom first Lavos)
Yeah, it is based on the book has some of this;
One Ring and a One Ring quest where you either have to wear it or don't wear it
Bree, all those LoTR towns and monsters (angband for monsters)
Ents, trolls, all that jazz.
My own stuff;
Voodoo spirts (same names anway)

Because you don't want to be addicted to too many games at once... I'm making my own variant right now with cookable corpses, salvation army, and robots. The programing language isn't any harder to read than C, I'll need a compiler though.

Now that I think of it wasn't there corruption in those other books (by Tolkien)? On the god stuff, most of them (but Yavanna and Mawe (sp)) see to be part of the book, but on those two )list above) they're voodun sprits (like 100% on Mawe) and the name is lua (spirt)...I think this is a big coincidince...

C:What? I have no idea what you just said. :-).

I don't like TOME's inferface. Too much stuff, I like it uncluttered like ADOM. :-).

C<U>: There were things that made people greedy and evil (like Feanor with the Silmarils, and the One Ring in general), but there wasn't anything like physical corruption, with horns sprouting or stuff, and there was absolutely no reference to 'Chaos'.

Uh, mental corruption is close enough? I guess they got the ideas of (for TOME) if you are too corrupt (mentally) so and so will happen. I was in a rush and didn't make myself too clear.

I didn't make myself clear again... a quick story; One day (when I was little,) I flipped to the stocks channel and my mom came in, then said the buisness men are really corrupt, if they become to corrupt they'll grow horns... (? way before I even played moria)
