What do the numbers on the bottom of the screen indicate? St, Wi, Dx, To, Ch, Ap, Ma, Pe, DV/PV, H, P, Exp:(level/points I assume), WE, Sp. And in my Inventory what are the numbers is round brackets and what are the numbers in square brackets? Thanks |

When you downloaded the game, did the zip file have a manual.doc with it? Might want to try reading it. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. Well gee ... imagine that ... Of course, I'm not a complete moron, I did check for manuals. Unfortunately the version I downloaded only had the executable in it. So, anyone slightly more helpful out there with an answer for me? |

I dont know exactly what they all do, but i think i know most of them. Ok then: St= Stregnth (Carry more stuff; attack) Wi= Willpower(helps with alignment; WoD go further I think) Dx= Dexterity(sp?)(speed) To= Toughness (bleeding and protection, right?) Ch= Charisma (helps with shops, etc.) Ap= Appearance (Companions?) Ma= Mana (DUH!) Pe= Perception (Sight, makes you see further) WE???? Were you in the wilderness? Sp: Speed (DUH!) As for the other things, youll have to look them up, im too lazy to explain the damage dice right now. (: |

Yeah, i think theres info on that too at andy williams page. Its at http://www.andywlms.com/adom People really need to read the guidebook (or at least part of it) so you dont keep writing tons of theads about easy stuff like i did. (: |

Hmm, with older versions a manual was included. Wonder what happened to it? You could download version 1.0.0 for example for the manual. Not much has changed since then. You forgot the most important (well, for my spellcasters) aspect of willpower: At 32, ball spells start getting larger. It also affects other spells, like how far your bolts go, etc. And it plays a part in resisting confusion and stun attacks. High dexterity increases PV. You got dexterity the wrong way around, but I assume that was just an accident :) High dexterity increases DV and high toughness PV. Dexterity helps with using missiles and whips. Yep. Sorry. Definitely an accident... I haven't been playing ADOM for two years just to mix up PV and DV 'cause I don't know what they are. Of course, my fingers still act like I'm wearing the artifact Cursed Gauntlets of Typo Production. Now there's something that will feed the ratling nicely... Die Gedanken sind Frei |
