Typical, I finaly get though, explain the problem, ask him to look at the page. He says it's working fine I reload the page and it's back to normal...

*sigh* why do problems only solve themselves when I go though the trouble of contacting support. I mean if I fail to check the site for a day or two it can be down the whole period :-/

Anyway it's "fixed", let's hope it lasts. The worst kind of problems is the ones that only apear once in a while and then "magicaly" fix themselves whenever you bring in someone to look at it

Dunno, but judging from previous experience I'd put my money on someting beeng not quite right with theyr server cluser...

The list of online users is only stored in the memmory on the web server, seeng as they run the site from several computers I guess those values wheren't sucessfully mirrored for some reason and whenever you load the site from a spesific computer (random) you get problems... Right now I have 3 browsers up. in 2 it works just fine and in the 3 it's still -1 users :P Might just be a cache problem though...

Yeah seems like the code that detect new sessions and keeps track of timed out ones doesn't run properly all the time...

Sometimes it seems to just quit working and we get these kinds of things (either it doesn't register new arivals and it's stuck at -1 users, or it doesn't register when they leave so long gone users are just left hanging around...

Users with cookies turned off can trip it up slightly, but it's defenently not running right...
