...but i would like to know more about writing. I am not a big Adomer. But I have heard that you can make up some scrolls... is it true? I used to have a writing set but I never could use it, Iīd been getting messages like "donīthave the ability to write" or so... sorry for my English. |

If you don't have the ability to write then you are not... oh, come on, you can do it! You are not li...? Yes, literate! And the skill that gives you reading and writing is...? Literacy. Ofcourse, you need a scroll to write on. A blank scroll to be precise. So - take a writing set, and write somthing on an empty scroll. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

Also, you cannot write a scroll that you have never seen before. Also, attempts to write a difficult scroll like chaos resistance may fail even if you are fully literate and have seen one before. |

You use the writing set, on a selected scroll, and the game asks you "what do you want to write?:". You type what you'd like (like "scroll of identify" ), and your char writes it. Loses some hp, sp and Mana too, but you get a scroll. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

Be careful with scrolls of chaos resistance and education. Writing them can even kill you if you're not very experienced and not a spellcaster. I don't think the other scrolls are as bad. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. I'd say it's quite easy with high level wizards. You just lose some mana points. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
