Nope. Not really--though you do know it'll be one of the monsters on your kill list right now. Just go back periodically and ask him; if your first kill was relatively common you should reach 20+ (whatever you have now)sooner or later.

If you're going for an avatar ending (Filk quest), you may want to record your kill list now, and then record it when you get Courage. Your first kill will be one of the monsters that's over 20+(number on your first list). Should give you a ballpark estimate of how deep to go.

I just bring it up on monster memory and leave it there.

Notepad here also.

I have a large list, and have to keep updating constantly.

Bring it up on monster memory? How do you do that?

My gnomish druid was named "Kobs" after I killed a kobold. But now I'm not sure whether it was a large kobold or just a normal one. Oh well, will get 20 of each :p
Taz: A potion of gain attributes (4s) is lying here. Suddenly a stone block hits your head! Something on the ground is smashed to pieces!
PeanutGod: Awwww no! How harsh is that! This is where you need the artefact 'mop and bucket'.

Use the monster memory and type in the name of the monster. The next time you use it it'll remember the monster you looked up last time, so in this case it'll be the monster you killed first.

If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
