Whenever I try to use Necromancy by pressing"C-x" as it says in the manual it always asks me who do I want to talk to. So how do I do it? |

I think it should be Ctrl and x at teh same time. Never used it before, but I think that the manual says C\x or something like that, yeah? The stuff before the x means hold 'control' Taz: A potion of gain attributes (4s) is lying here. Suddenly a stone block hits your head! Something on the ground is smashed to pieces! PeanutGod: Awwww no! How harsh is that! This is where you need the artefact 'mop and bucket'. |

You are confusing using necromancy and controlling slaves... To use Necromancy you simply use the skill like you would any other, this require that you have a humaniod corpse in your inventory. If you suceed you'll create a undead slave from the corpse (the slave will get some properties from the creature you used, for example a Ogre zombie will be stronger than a pixie zombie, a quickling zombie will be fast and so on. With higher levels you can also create different (and stronger) types of undead (Wraiths, Vampires, Liches etc.) The Ctrl-x command is to access your class skills, one of wich is to command undead slaves. And it does not work for any slave, which are not companions :P Slaves must be ordered by the necromancer's class power. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

That's new... I haven't played nercomancers since 1.0 (or even since some pre-relase... don't remeber), when you had to use the class power... Anyway, if you get necromancy from PoE or SoE then you have no way of commanding your slaves. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |
