Does willpower effect anything else than the size of ball spells and if you cna get into the rift?

Yes, it affects the power of ALL combat spells, the power of healing spells, the power of wands, the number of hit points and power points, the number of turns the PC stays confused, and is required for many talents.
It's propably the most important stat in the game.


A pessimist sees a dark tunnel.
An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel.
A realist sees a train.
And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks.

What is Ap good for? Low prices in shops? Bringing down your average stats when using a blessed !of Balance?

An addition to Maelstorm's list: Not only does it affect how long your char stays confused, it also affects how much your char can resist monsters' confusion attempts. You also need a high Wi to climb down the rift.
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
