After a few days of real unluck this is the tip of the Iceberg. Caladriel, the drakish wizard, broke her neck while falling down some narrow stairway. Now arn't you even suppose to be able to climb stairs without worry? Never happened to me before. How common is it? Or is this some kind of trap? |

You were doomed. I recon you got that from a pool. Once doomed, you can get killed by walking in darkness (you are likely to be eaten by grue - that's not just for show, if doomed, you have a chance of that happening), by your god's lighting bolt (Moloch smashes the altar, your god fires a lighitning bolt, *DAMN, MISSED!* and you get hit) and stuff like that. That is why you should always have an altar nearby and a great standing with your diety, if you are going to drink from pools. You just can't run around doomed unless you really want to die. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

you could have been strained! causing you to trip in fall down the stairs, which I believe was likely the cause. |

I wasn't doomed. After reading the .flg file I noticed I was strained, after pickin up an ultraheavy platemail just before decending. Problem solved You start to think you experienced everything in the game after playing for like 6 years. Well, I only proves it's a great game. In fact the best :-) BTW are Locke or Moloch King ever at this forums nowadays? Knew them a few years ago while I was hanging out here.. |
