I am very angry. He told me to kill a fomorian giant. Very nice. Where would you go to find one? Some features of Adom seem really unfair to me. After 2 hours of playing I can f*ck myself. |

A fomorian giant is a possible wilderness encounter in the forest ("You encounter a wandering giant"). Or you could just scum the infinite dungeon for one. |

The alternative route pass the animated forest is a good place too. The giant level. |

Giant level? There's no such thing. The dwarven halls can generate every kind of monsters, though. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. The Temple of the High Kings is a good place as well, lots of cavernous levels. The All-Powerful Ancient Chaos Lobster is here. Boil some water and melt some butter! |

Died. This theme was spoken here certain time before: is it possible that the difficulty of the quest depends on your equipment? So when you have e.g. some great weapon youŽd rather drop it down before talking to the elder? |

No, it's based on your level I think. *digs up stuff from ToGU's site* The random creature is a not too rare creature that could be found by the player during normal playing. No dwarves, lawful creatures or vortices will be assigned. The greater daemon is 14 levels below the player and has extra hitpoints. The random creature is randomly created for dangerlevel MAX(PLAYERLEVEL, DWARFTOWN_DANGER_RATING) + 3. Only creatures with relative probability 25 or higher will be chosen. The greater daemons hp is increased by (PLAYERLEVEL + DWARFTOWN_DANGER_RATING) * 2. If the player is above level 15, the daemons level is then increased by (PLAYERLEVEL - 15). Spoiler I do get the feeling it is dependent on the uquipment you wear. I used to get stuck with hard to find creatures if i kept all my equipment. But when i drop all my equipment, i get to kill goblins or bats, or even rats. edit: added the spoiler markings. Klavert -I want ye to slay a rat to prove your valor- Thrundarr That really happened to me :D [Edited 2 times, last edit on 12/19/2003 at 01:24 (GMT -5) by Klavert] |

I meant the levels on the "other way" across the forest. There is that one level which generates high level monstas, mostly of gigantic size (encountered a tension room full of Dorn Beasts..the mssg overflow when they all produce the darn sound...) |

"No dwarves" Actually Chaos Dwarven berserkers can be generated, I have had that happen. |

ToGu guy, whose stuff Jonesy quoted, looked that stuff up from the exe, right? I'd bet my money on it. Though I wonder what "relative probability of 25" means. Warlord, what you're talking about is normally referred to as the dwarven halls (DH:1&DH:2), I know what you meant but just wanted to correct it so that nobody got confused. Every kind of monster can be generated there, from goblins and kobolds to greater titans, greater wyrms and emperor liches. Don't go there without teleport +teleport control. Chaos dwarven berserkers don't count, their evil and thrundarr has no problem with killing them. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
