IIRC greater molochs are SLOW. You could try to lure the GM in to the room and quickly slip by. There is a risk that you'll get hit anyway. If you have two decent shields you could try dual-wielding them on coward to minimise the risk of getting a fatal hit while trying to slip by. Alternatively if you have a wand of digging you could try making yourself an alternative way out. Mystic shovel spell would also help which I doubt you have. You have about two turns of not running away available to you. Use them well. A wand of trap creation could help you. I used this method in the Animated Forest, creating five or six teleport traps before I managed to get through. I killed only fifteen trees, and nine of those were the ones that followed me back upstairs. What spells do you have, if any? Do you have time to chance it with a potion of wonder? A wand of wonder? Speaking of wands, which ones do you have? Try the ones that are most likely to work first; don't try to kill the moloch, in any event. Slow Monster could help. So could anything that confuses it--even booze. Hopefully you've already checked for potions of invisibility, but check again--you never know. Unidentified potions and wands come LAST; try the wands first as they're more likely to be helpful. Potions of boost speed are a great deal of help, too, obviously; whatever you can think of to give you an edge, try it. Stun resistance of any sort? Try that. And if it hits you, you survive, and you have the opportunity to pray for full health, do so. Die Gedanken sind Frei |

If you're an archer, you could try shooting it if you want. You'll get massive weapon marks from shooting it, even if you can't kill it. If you're feeling lucky... :P If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
