Just a point of curiosity... Why do you suppose it is that in a dark room, I cannot read a scroll, however, in that same dark room, I can pick a scroll up and know what it's labeled? I should be able to read both the label and the scroll or neither. ~Kryllion~ Master of the Screeching Humanling |

No idea. Even my theory about Braille doesn't work here. But today we kneel only to truth, follow only beauty, and obey only love."- Kahlil Gibran "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it."- Voltaire. Well, it makes sense that you can't read scrolls in the dark, so I think it should stay that way, but you're right that it doesn't make sense you can read scroll titles. But, to take care of this very minor problem, TB would have to put effort into getting all scrolls to show up as "scroll" and to label themselves when you enter into light. Also, while we're add it, lets have scroll labels show up like "squiggly-labeled scroll" for illiterate characters. It's not worth the effort, and that's why you can read scroll titles in the dark. You can also see gem colors in the dark when picking them up. |

Yes, it would be too much work for what is basically flavor, except for those spellcasters who regularly use Darkness. Die Gedanken sind Frei |
