Lol, i downloaded it and i was shocked.

It has STRANGE graphicks, and stupid gameplay. Lol, i shoot lions&centipies and stuff. It sure is wierd, I dont get it that many say its like adom, ASdom has different ascii graphicks, it got more depht and stuff, or was it different game? lol.

I think it sux, dont kill me.

Ah, but that's just the scenarios that come with it.

THe point of ZZT is that it's a scenario editor, and there are lots of way better scenarios with a proper plot or sensible enemies or whatever.

Indeed. Try downloading some games at Z2 and see for yourself. And believe me, ZZT can get as deep as how creative the creator is- I mean, look at all the possibilities.

Those lions and centipedes are only 'pre-made' enemies. Try fighting some of the custom enemies made from others. You'll see that they're(well, some of them atleast) quite interesting.

Oh, Ok.

I dint really lok at the editor, but how deep games can u make when u can only shoot those enemies, no swords battlle axes etc like in adom...

Btw:Is there a Remake of ZZT?

*sigh* I'm afraid it's quite difficult to explain. Some people actually make engines- such as sword-fighting, boomerangs, grenades, magic, or whatever.

Oh, here I go again- trying to convert people into ZZTism ... uh well, you can go ahead and hate it if you want to, noone's gonna stop you.

what are some of the better ZZT games to try? one with alot of options or something.

there was one scenario that was really fun. i think it was called mission: enigma or something like that.

theres also super zzt but it never got popular. it was much better than the original.

megazeux is better than both of them in my opinion. try that out too.

Okay. There are a few ZZT 'clones' - MegaZeux and ZIG jump to mind. I've never used either.

As for games to get - MadTom's games like 'Respite' and 'Burglar!', Nadir's Psyche and craNKGod's 'Little Square Things' give a very nice view of the variety of game types possible.

All these are available from z2, as Anarchy2 said - also, check out anything classified as a 'Featured Game' - always good. They're shown in the top left, randomly chosen.
