Do any of the starsigns that mention reduction in spell cost also influence the cost of Mindcraft? |

Im not 100% sure but I dont think that mindcraft counts as magic so no, the wand and dragon bonuses do not apply. Good signs for Mindcrafters are wolf and tree since willpower seems to be very important to them. |

and Cup, the cup is good for all characters as you level up faster, which is very handy for Mindcrafters. mine tend to die at level 9ish What do you Wish for?_ |

Wolf is better, imo. Mindcrafters really need that +3 Pe, to avoid grasping some undead's vile conscience. And harder alignment changes are more of a penalty than a bonus. Greater Segmentation Vault (emperor memory leak surronded by memory leak kings and master memory leaks) |

I consider myself a bit of a mindcrafter specialist (4 ultras endings now compared to a big fat zero with other classes!) and think tree is definately not the best choice for a mindcrafter. The +5 willpower keeps monsters confused a little while longer in the early game, but the alignment thing is annoying, and once you've reached dwarftown your pretty much guaruanteed a source of morgia to train your will up to 28, rendering the star sign useless while other signs have more permanent effects. From my experience candle has to be the best since they need the healing early game, also raven is always good, cos the trident is very useful since mindcrafter have a tough time with the undead. (I once got the trident before i embarked on the dwarven graveyard quest, that WAS fun - Griff fell in two whacks!) |

Well, Candle and Raven are just sooo good for everyone. But I personally simply can't resist the urge to play a trollish healer each time a Candle shows up. SO much regenerative fun :-) Greater Segmentation Vault (emperor memory leak surronded by memory leak kings and master memory leaks) |

Ry... drakeling healers are better.. I once calculated the regeneration rate for both race/class combination and drakeling healer regens only 5 points slower or sumtin.. +they live longer, gain exp more faster and have that speed attack, AND they have a lot easier time at toef. (well that toef thing is opinion debendant, but at least i think so). |

I second your opinion about draklings in the ToEF, i don't mind taking a bit of damage (which a few spensweeds take care of) if my speed is 300+! |

while playing drakeling, especially if born in candle, I don't bother to take healing, ever. their healing rate is second only to trolls, as said before, and thus don't really need it. Healing helps fighting disease, but who needs that when there's curaria mancox? I think drakelings make decent mindcrafters because of the acid spit. helps with undead and chaotics when wands aren't an option. So for mindcrafters I'd go with a drakeling born in cup or candle. cup, as they need a bit more exp than some others. |

Maastonakki, sure, that's in the guidebook. It's just that I almost never play drakelings, a matter of taste. They seem a little weird to me, kind of an afterthought and not exactly in place there.
