Candle is indeed very nice, due to that rapid healing. IIRC I once tried a mindcrafter, deliberatiely scumming for candle birthsign. The rapid healing was a BIG aid prior to getting the spoily skill (and after that as well). OTOH the extra speed of Raven Spoiler is also nice, though beastfighters don't really need any extra speed from Raven. Ones I don't particularly like are wand, salamander and unicorn. i HATE salamander. Its only usefull if your going to play elementalists, which i find too easy and boring to play. My favorite are Raven and Candle, no doubt about it |

I like Tree for my neutral necromancers - nice bonus to spells, and the slower alignment change is very useful for staying neutral with necromancy. Sword is cool for all melee'ers. Unicorn, falcon and wolf are all quite useless I find. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

Unicorn is good becase the game starts in the month of the unicorn, and your character is luckier in his birth month, beginning characters can do with that extra luck. What do you Wish for?_ |
