Favourite: Darkforge I used to hate it, until I strolled in one day with a level 16 drakish weaponsmith and cleared it. (my long sword of penetration +10,1d8+8) helped quite a bit. Lots of nice free stuff there. Least favourite: SMC Where about 95% of my characters die. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

Favourite: Sinister Liberary - scrolls, books, tough monsters that are a challange, what more does a fun char need? Least Favoutite: Bug Temple 1.1 style. Hard, unrewarding. The xps are not worth the trouble, the trouble with corpse scumming should have been changed by lowering the Dx gain, not by the dumb "over 40, no gain even if test is positive" rule. Favourite? Have to be the DH. Its a real proving ground for my characters, and i get to see a few new monsters every time i visit. Most hated, TOeF. It claimed my 2 best characters ever, and i never forgave it ;) |

My favourite place would be DH2, probably. Great place for using potions of exchange. Least favourite would be the Tower of Eternal Flames. I find the game gets very slow and boring when preparing for it. Minotaur maze would be another good contender, but I don't go there anymore. |

favourite would be prolly gremlin cave... I usually train weaponskills and between kills relieve them of their most valued possessions (I believe I pocketed shiny silver bracers while in there, as I don't remember picking thme up =) this was with a lvl 16 drakeling thief. first I just stared at the screen. then I said "Täh?" afterwards in my mind I went "WOOHOO" =) her dex is now 41 due to herbs, BoW and gloves of dex +5 (another lucky break)) least favourite would be SMC prolly, claimed a lot of herb-seeking adventurers. this is off thread, but at least drakelings can eat dopplegangers/lords while starving... not sure about other races. (haven't found a king corpse yet, not sure I want to see what it is efore being a corpse...) |

I hate the animated forest because it always takes a lot of time to cross. "I don't know what World War 3 will be fought with, but I know World War 4 with be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein |

I hate the Mana Temple. I once tried to get through it without knowing the existance of this strange thing called "humanoid slaying ammo". On the other hand, the library is very cool. Hard monsters, fantastic treasure... ChAoS iS cOmInG! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! |

Best place = the UD, lots of shops, vaults and altars Worst place = rivers underground that go horizontally across the screen, meaning you often have to swim 17 sqaures before you find land. The mana temples not that bad, i kill just enough of the henchmen to get the archmages attention, then flee back down the corridor and W5 on the spot, and he comes to me :) What do you Wish for?_ |

The mana temple is quite easy with a beastfighter at level => I think it is lvl32 then they can switch places with hostile monsters. Quite funny that so many people die and have problems with ToEF. I've went there 3 times to and came out with the fire orb every time. :) Actually, I've gone there 4 times, but once I went with a L1 elementalist with 2 fire resistance rings to see how long he could last. Almost reached level 6 too to completely resist the heat, but died. I think I went there at L18 on my elementalist, L20 on my beastfighter and L24 on my weaponsmith. The elementalist did it easily, weaponsmith had to use frost wands and beastfighter got really corrupted while fighting the Chaos Wyrm in melee. I like Darkforge as well. Shortcut to deeper CoC, easy exp and free stuff. :) I dislike mana temple. Chaos Archmage has nasty death rays and Chaos servants are really tough by then. |

I find ToEF rather easy... for a wizzard with iceball:) the happiest place for me is most probably casino... I like these gold pieces and artifacts rolling beneath my feet... I've no worst place, but I never go to bug temple nor monotaur caves. Also, the forest is boring and annoying, but the quest is fairly easy to do for a wizard with teleport. |

Nice places- *UD, VD, DD, PC cuz they tend to be hassle free and full of nice things. they're also a nice place to gain experience and to go for easy precrownings. there's normally an altar in one of them and tension rooms a plenty. they do tend to have one slightly problematic level but nothing too nasty. *dwarf town and the upper CoC levels - home away from home and areas to safely and quickly build up experience darkforge - pretty much covered by everyone. once you've got the strength to confidently take out the initial steel golems the place is a goldmine. *anywhere with ants- if you have metallurgy of gemology you can make so much cash from what the ants dig up. i try to lock the ants up in one place to encourage concentrated digging and to do things like reading on the same level giving them chance to dig more Bad places- *the forrest just cuz it's a pain. i always run into biiiig nasties in the DHs so have to travel through the forrest to complete the quest and it's a bit of a hold up. it's annoying because the following 2 dwarf quests are nice and easy *elemental temples. each has their own annoiance (well the water temple isn't too bad) |
