Do you know of any monster that you haven't seen but would like to meet one with your character.

I would like Tb to create this monster:
A unique monster that is resistent to all spells and you can meet him after you closed the gates and had a normal ending. It should have tons of DV and PV and hitpoints and fast as Filk. He could be able to cast all kinds of spells and summon. Now that would be an opponent worthy of a lv 50 char.

Well, minus that "as fast as Filk" and "summons" that's the description of a high level Ki-rin (ofcourse, as all monsters, he isn't immune to Magic Missile, nothing can be immune to that).
And if you want a worthy oponent, go to ID levels over 1000, you'll get what you want.

I would like to run into an emperor lich, just to see what everyone else is scared of. Ive ran into regular liches and a few Masters with low level characters, and they werent anything to be frightened of.

Id also like to see a few more molochs, or even a master moloch. Almost took down a moloch with a level 15 fighter one time, that was fun

Masters are wussies compared to an Emperor Lich. A single Emperor can summon tens of Vampires, Ghost Lords and Spectres, keep you confused (resistance helps only a little, they still can keep you confused), cast Death Ray (you need Death Ray resistance, or they'll kill the second they see you), and ofcourse are decent fighters themselves.

Also back in the day there were 10-20 of them in a greater undead vault. Scary. But that was when TB considered goblins as the ultimate form of undead(There was one goblin in the middle of all undead vaults surrounded by a dozen emperor liches. Now the vaults are fixed and there's only one emperor lich in them)

Um... I found a greater undead vault, with probably 10-20 emperor lichs in it. And I'm playing 1.1.1 This is the hexagonal shaped vault with the rectangular room in the middle, and in the centre there were 2 lich kings surrounded by emperor liches.

Boy, I'm glad I decided not to fight them, by how you're talking about them. I thought that I'd kill them by throwing improved fireballs at the wall but it turns out you can't so I wouldn't be able to reach many that way.

Well, guess it wasn't fixed after all. Or maybe some vaults are supposed to have many emperor liches. Or maybe one emperor lich summoned more(nah, don't think they can really do that). I do recall seeing a screenshot (or few) of undead vaults with a goblin in them and then a vault with just one emperor lich in them.

About those emperor liches, think about a dozen of them casting death ray on your ass. Hurts a bunch even if you do have resistance.

Has anyone experimented if having multiple sources of death ray resistance lowers the damage you receive?

I think there were some goblins in there too, but off to the side. It's too late to check, I opened up that middle room just for fun, read the emperor lich description and ran away, so they're not set up properly anymore.

Lich kings are already a lot harder than master liches, I got one as a guardian in the dwarven graveyard. I had to kill it by throwing 200 pp of spells at him, leaving, letting my powerpoints fill up and throwing another 200 pp of spells at him. It was still worth it, though, I think farslayer was in that grave.

I have once cleared a greater undead vault. There was about 10 emperor liches if I recall correctly.(1.0.0) Killing them was pure masochism... Though it resulted in Bracers of war and ring of immunity, the massive attribute reductions were price that I wouldn't want to pay again...

Little did I know when I killed an emperor lich with my level 31 gnomish elementalist - without confusion resistance and without death ray resistance. I kept about 5 squares distance, kept throwing fire bolts and after about 10-15 the lich was dead. He confused me once, and drained, but I survived. After I closed the gates with the same character (level 46) I met another emperor lich, but decided I don't want to be drained and teleported away.

Why is the undead slaying ammo no use? Try blessing it and it might do more damage on each hit. If you don't have enough, humanoid slaying ammo will work too. Otherwise, Magic Missile is a pretty good spell when trained up to high effectivity, and doesn't destroy the treasure.

I haven't seen any Ki'rin or werewolf kings. It'd be nice to see them and try to fight'em. not a tension room full of either, preferably.

Ki-rin can be nasty if one is unprepared, as they apparently have some nasty attacks. Then again my latest winner actually accidentally killed a ki-rin. IIRC I was scumming ID post-quest and came upon a yellow F. I wasn't paying attention and just rushed at it. Next thing I noticed was the message "You hit the ki-rin. You kill the ki-rin." (or something like that). Oops.

One monster I have not ever seen is solar. AFAIK they normally only appear when a lawful char really pisses off his/her deity and since I tend not to play lawfuls (preferring neutrals instead) there is not much chance of coming upon one. I guess I could wish for one if I had a spare wish. But how tough solars are actually ?

I think a greater undead vault might be...interesting...with a char like my latest winner. All stats at 99, speed 700+, wearing lots of nice artifacts and magic missile at effectivity 100+. I guess even emperor liches wouldn't stand much of a chance...

Just *how* long have you played that character to get all stats at 99? When my wizard got the wish spell i spent a while boosted his PP but got so bored that i just completed the game without ever casting it.

Majin: long. Very long. I can't quite remember how long it took but even scumming the BDC for potions of <stat>/gain attributes takes a long time to raise all stats to 99. Then again I also scummed the wilderness to raise strength (stone giants+ring of weakness) for a LOOOONG time.

And my wizard DID get his PP high enough to book-cast Wish - shortly before being crushed due to my own stupidity...

SOlars are easy. In gamma 15 I killed them with a cheated gnomsih elementalist all stats normal. It takes 2-3 hits to knock them down.

to train stats like that, you just need a ring of weakness, food preservation and access to the BDC. via cursed potions of exchange it's very possible to train all stats. It shouldn't take but a couple of days realtime...
