I have heard that the tasks have to be done in certain order. Is this true? I've played adom a little and I've read the manual but is there really such "a role"? I know it about a dog that it dies if I don't rescue it in certain time. Help me little!

Since you're a newbie, you're still trying to win the game in the "normal" way, so I don't think you need to worry too much about having to do quests in a specific order. That's more for special endings known as "ultra endings".

About the quests you get in the first village (Terinyo):

  • The tiny girl asks you to rescue her dog. As you've gathered, it dies if you don't rescue it in time. However, trying to bring it back alive is dangerous and not usually considered worthwhile.
  • The sheriff asks you to kill the raider lord. When you get too experienced, he will become scared of you and flee the Drakalor Chain.
  • You can also get a quest from the elder or the druid (not both in the same game), but these quests can be done whenever you like.

Spoiler
The village elder quest gives you Healing if you lead Yrrigs to Jharod and the Druid quest gives you Herbalism
