just entered the smc with lvl 1 human assassin to be attacked by a large bat, goblin and an orc, i was going to run through a door to see if there was a better first kill just down the hall, the door was locked so i kicked it open, it exploded killing the large bat (which is now his first kill) i was just going to quit when i thought id just see what that weapon was on the ground ahead of me... BRUTAL ETERNIUM TWO-HANDER OF DEVASTATION!!! So (not counting surges of power) whats the BEST item youve found in the smc? |

I've found a few eternium two handers in the cave before,none with a suffix/prefix though, and quicksilver quarterstaves/staffs of smiting a couple of times aswell. From my experience there regularly seems to be some kind of powerful item generated in there. (Normally two handers, halberds or staves) I've ony ever had one surge of power there, it was whirlwind, and i died trying to get it anyway. |

I always pick up everything I find on the floor in the SMC. Usually it's crap but sometimes you get something pretty sweet - eternium weapons, staff of smiting, staff of the magi, halberd of defense, cloak (+4,+3) etc. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

Yeah, you can find some nice stuff in there. I can't think of anything right now that I've got, but it is possible that there's one guaranteed good weapon in there. Besides the guaranteed waterproof blanket, there's a guaranteed CLOAK. You might not all have noticed this, but every time I explore the whole SMC I always get either a hooded, light or leather cloak in there somewhere. |

Yeah there's definately a guaraunteed cloak, 2 quarterstaves and an iron shield (any size but never of higher metals) as far as my experiences show. There's always a stone weapon in their aswell, either a spear/club/axe. |

I managed to beat my way through the small cave to "ironfist" but unfortunatley my character died shortly after in a long bloody battle in the PC on the cavernous level whilst tring to find those damn stairs! |

found eternium 2-hander a couple of times, and halberds of defense. also found a weeping scythe of dev. once, that truly rocked the greater moloch equips the hulking armor |
