Looking at the posts and many of the characters here, I see a lt of people with extremely high stats and speed. It seems as if a speed of 300-400 is quite common at lvl 30+.

The thing is, I have a lvl 31 priest, with only 108 speed. I know you get more speed from eating quickling corpses, but I can't seem to find any quicklings, the occasional one I meet in dungeons never leave corpses.

Any tips on where I can find a lot of quicklings? (Besides quickling tree of course)

With that amount of speed we would have a hard time getting away from level 30.
My lvl 39 drakeling had 152 speed as strained and bloated. I had all speed talents and found a bunch of quickling blood potions and 100 athletics, maybe 1 quickling lord corpse to.
If you want stuff to leave corpses often, use something of hunting, or get a high food preservtation.
Oh he had 33 dexterity to.

Well, the short answer is that the only place you are guaranteed to find quicklings is, duh, the tree. If you go in there with food preservation 100, a weapon of hunting, blessed ankh + 2 blessed rings of luck, I'd guess you'd get a *crapload* of corpses. Don't forget your stomacemptia herbs!
Other than that, near the end of the game you start to get quickling raiding parties as a wilderness encounter (in swamps? I think)
Oh, and a speed of 300-400 is certainly not common! not intrinsically at least. If you're looking at screenshots from the HOF, they probably have that as a result of drinking potions of boost speed/wishing for speed in the final battle.

the raiding parties can be found anywhere in the wilderness.
