Yup, mana battery and poison hands. Mana battery once "cleared" my WoW which had 4 or 5 charges. One can imagine that it isn't too much of a joy to wrench that one final wish from a wand that has just been (practically) raped. I HATE THOSE TWO!!! |

I won't be oryginal, and say Mana Battery. A bit disappointing corruption is thorns (it says 3d3 hand damage, but it works only for normal characters that do 1d3 damage... it doesn't do anything for monks and beastfighters :( (it really should increase the dice by 2). A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. It's only mediocre. Teleportitis has a strange tendency to never kick in when you need it, and it starts throwing you around every couple of turns as soon as you sit down to read some book. Teleportisis is fun when you're a noob, control or no control. I remember I used to find that very entertaining. I don't like apish even if I am a fighter because I like skill increases. And the most fighter-ish thing I've ever been is a paladin anyway... There really should be something like "Are you sure you want to drop all you potions/wands? [y/n]" It shouldn't be possible to completely screw yourself over with one keystroke. That's the one thing I hate about this game. My favorites are teleportis, a great deal of hatred takes over you, great for fighting, that thinning one, the rest of the corruption effects I usually couldn't care less for, except that ape one, poison hands is bad too. |

You get scars which decrease your apperance but that is the only negative to it. Otherwise I like that corruption(unless healing is already max) People stabbed in the face don't talk much

According to the guidebook the scars also reduce dexterity, which is a little more serious. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

Yup, that's true. That'a also an almost permanent decrease. IIRC royal gelee can remove scars, but that is quite rare. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
