Has anyone yet played the new version of ADOM. It says it's version 1.0.0 and it has new features such as the questions asked at the start??

That's rather old news I'm afraid ;-)

Anyway yes, we have played it, there are already several winners in the HoF, and yes it has lots of new features (the questions are optional).

If you haven't already doen so download it right away. Just be carefull about the quick mark spell feature. It frequently crash the game, other than that I haven't had any problems with it if that is what you are getting at ;-)

You might want to go to the source. http://www.adom.de that is...

Granted the Amiga version tend to be a few weeks late, but at least you'll get it a lot faster than waiting for someone to submit it to Aminet.

Keeping an eye on the newsgroup (there is a link to a web based reader in the HoF's link section if you don't have a newsreader) is also a good way to stay on top of the laters ADOM developments...

In case you are wondering verion 1 (for DOS/Windows/Linux) was released 08/06/2001 while the Amiga version was released somewhat later at 09/03/2001.

Senguko: Ah, an Amiga fellow. All praise the Amiga! :) Too bad I have had to leave the Amiga scene for a while. :( I hope that I one day can afford an Amiga based computer again. Wonderful technology indeed. :)

Locke: Sengoku is not the only Amiga-fellow here (guess who else is). Have been playing the 1.0 version for some time now. Playing in a window on WB (playing in its own screen would make it quite blocky on my 19" monitor). Though the window is quite small in my 1600x1200 16-bit WB...

I think we've mentioned this before but I loved playing on Moonstone!! Killing that dragon gave me so much satisfaction! And I loved massacrering loads of axe men till the whole screen was covered in bodies and I was beaten up badly but I still survived, and with 3 guys against me at the same time it really wasn't fair!
Ohh those were the days...

Moonstone is quite fun, I still play it from time to time on my Amiga emulator. Nice way to let out some steam, even if it's not very challanging anymore...

Every monster had more or less a repative pattern of slashing, hacking and moving etc.
The mud poeple were easy once you got the pattern right.

OT: Having found out how to change the font used by ADOM I've been playing it with size 24 Courier. Looks great...
