What's the deal with CoK? Can't remember ever to have got +Le by using blessed CoK in 1.1.1 Thought they should give bonus independant of what your learning is, but I didn't even get bonus when using one at Le: 19 my last game.. |

i got the bonus earlier this afternoon with a gray elven druid with Le:19. so that still worked. it was on a level where i had already explored everything, but i wanted the bonus before i levelled up :p Taz: A potion of gain attributes (4s) is lying here. I wished for some CoK with my lv 23 drakish priest in 111(he had learning 21), blessed the crystals, but the first one didn't give me any increase in LE only the second and third. LE went up from 21 to 25. For the Horde! |

Okej.. So has I just been really unlucky or does is it increase chances of increase to explore the entire level before using the CoK? |

i guess that the higher your learning, the lower the chances of the increase. or maybe it's a random bonus of +0, +1, or +2 (mewto's priest got +2 two times there) Taz: A potion of gain attributes (4s) is lying here. Only CoK are useful gems in Adom. You can make more money with Sis than gems. And yeah, CoK's almost never raise a stat above 25, but stats below that are often raised by 1 or 2. |

Okej! I thougt CoK was one way to increase that wasn't dependant of the current stat value. Obviously proven wrong though. |

IIRC, CoK's don't give you LE+ if you haven't completely explored the current dungeon level you're on. |

Not true - my last char found one, used it, got +1 Le when the level was not explored yet. That char was a sure winner... but i put the wedding ring on the wrong finger and died of banshee wail :P Sucks, doesn't it? A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. The wrong finger? I thought you were supposed to wield, as in arm yourself with the wedding ring like you normally do with a sword, not wear it on your finger. Well, yeah, that was the general idea. The problem was ofcourse the LIS (Lazy Idiot Syndrome). Didn't check first, cleaned ears, got killed... again.
