I just got the weirder death messages I've had. "He choked to death on his own vomit while paralyzed". I had drank from a pool and got the "sick" status, and then a mimic paralyzed me. Nice character too. lvl 9 gnomish bard. People stabbed in the face don't talk much
Mostly they just gurgle
And bleed

What funny/weird death messages have you gotten, I think one of my funniest is "he broke his leg on a wall". From fooling around without watching hp. It seems almost everything in this game can kill you. People stabbed in the face don't talk much

I found a whole tension/threaten room full of white dragons in the ToEF. I guess there's no tower of eternal ice and they've got to live somewhere... And I don't know what the message is, and this hasn't happened to me, but you can die by falling down the stairs while Strained! |

There should be a tower of eternal <element> for earth, fire (already there), water, and air. That would be cool. then, instead of temples, there could be towers, which would be better, because Thomas could make them more than one level deep, and he could fill the Dwarf caves with somthing else, like, say, the Dwarven Mithrel Mines (Look at the RFE's at www.adom.de) "I concur that we are both atheists. i once found a tension room of living walls in the ToEF. they were pretty easy to spot because the real walls were red ;) korn dogg, long time no see :P Taz: A potion of gain attributes (4s) is lying here. Suddenly a stone block hits your head! Something on the ground is smashed to pieces! PeanutGod: Awwww no! How harsh is that! This is where you need the artefact 'mop and bucket'. |

My favorite was after having a god refuse help for a character and him dying. And of course the next character spawned quickly entered a wilderness area, and prayed till the god Blasted him. Not sure of the exact message |

Killed by a rock thrown by a goblin rock thrower would be a bad way to go, also being killed by any thing small, like a tiny girl. I really don't know what to put here. |

Anyone have the list of all the different ways you can die? Someone had it on their web page(Dougy or somebody), but that has been down for a while... And I have no idea where can you die of those three causes: - died of pneunomia - was ripped apart when confronting Order and Chaos - was killed by believing in the promises of Chaos A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. "was killed by believing in the promises of chaos" - when you dip an item into a potion of raw chaos, it may explode, and IIRC this is the message you get when the explosion kills you. "was ripped apart when confronting order and chaos" - I'm told that this is from dipping SoCR into a PoRC. "died of pneumonia" - cold damage on the icy level maybe? |

DaN, have you ever listened to Khelevaster? The 5 orbs are five keys to open the gate to the meta-plane, on which the Chaos Gate is kept. You open each one with an orb, and diffrent things happen - the fire one deals some damage (something like 20 - and that's before PV, so most of the time you don't get any damage). Falling prey to a slavering grue is what you get from being doomed and walking in darkness - those messages about "you might get eaten by a grue" aren't just for show, THEY'RE REAL! THERE ARE MONSTERS IN THE DARK THAT'LL EAT YOU! AAAAAA! ;) A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

There are four types of grues, they are the elements (Fire, Water, Air and Earth) and yes you can probably have one as a pet and in fact they would make good pets because they have lots of hitpoints and have a high to-hit. I don't remember their speed but they are quite hard to kill with a low level PC.
