I remember you, our own 500 pound wacko. Welcome back. Now, somebody give that man tips on how to make ADOM work on XP. Should be possible for what I know, but I'm working on a Win98SE so I don't know how to help. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. I'm playing on XP, so here's how I do it: 1. make a shortcut (either on your desktop, or on the... belt? systray? No f***n idea how it's called in english) 2. right click and bring up the options. 3. Check: - Program/maximized, close after quitting - Screen/full screen - Compatibility(the last thingy, again no idea how it's called outside polish versions)/run this program...: Windows 95 Check also the 256 colour mode and if you don't like HUGE dungeons, the 640x480 resolution (I play on 1024x768 and dungeons are 4 times larger then on a normal resolution. That inculdes 4 times more graves in the dwarven graveyard, a nice thingy, and 4 times larger animated forest, which sucks). If you run it like that, you should have no problem. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

Haven't seen you in quite a while, Ryan, 6 months at least. Were you asking how to run ADOM in XP in fullscreen, or the normal screen size? I use ADOM-Sage personally, so I didn't need to use compatability. New on ADOM? Nothing. Well, TB gave some hints on adom.de that he might continue working on JADE at some point. Also, I think this page would be news for you: http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~houeland/adom/ It contains stuff that that guy has found by checking the source code or summit like that. Also has some patches to fix some bugs/unwanted features(signals 291/11, über-jackals). If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
