I'm posting this to adom section even though i prolly should post it to spoilers but yeah... if you don't wanna get spoiled (which means you don't know what grave digging is which you prolly will anyway figure out fromt he topic but aww.. to the point) don't read.

So... I tested it the first time in my life, i got some normal-good stuff from the first grave, nothing over useful though.. second gave me eternium halberd which is pretty good (I didn't use it)... the third gave me seven leagues, and so did the fourth... is this 'normal' ? I mean, is grave diggign usually that profitable? or is it as any other thing in adom, meaning that, sometimes it gives a shit and sometimes it's uber-good?

anyway I got master liches from the 4 first grave, an emperor lich from the fift grave (died on that btw)...

Yes, it's that profitable - "Yey, yey! I got Far Slayer and 7LBs! Now the second grave... $***t, Emperor Lich! Damn, back to character generator..."
You get lots from it, but be ready to die. Simply, emperor liches at point blank are more deadly then bullets.

I always get total shit from them. I usually find one worthwile item per five "great treasures" graves.

If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

when the emperor lich showed up, i wasn't that scared, when i got him to severly wounded and i was at full hp (he had just summoned some creatures to that point) i laughed evilly.
When he d-rayed me, i cried.
with luck you can take those out in low levels without d ray resistance... but damn did that d-ray hit me hard :p

I never got anything good. I usually dig 4-5 graves at level 25-30 with treasure hunter but I mostly get rations and clothes.

Ive gotten only one Wand of wishing ever. 5 charges i believe it had. I wasted them stupidly on a barbarian wishing for things i really didnt need.

Ive only ever had a Surge of power twice as well. Both were in the SMC. One was a displacer beast which was impossible to hit, and the other was a chaos brother. Both killed me instantly, and were guarding whirlwind..

I've had two wands of wishing. IIRC I got them both during a month or two. the 2nd one got abused. Had gotten the mana battery at some point and not noticing it. Of course I had to "keep it secret, keep it safe". Lost 5 wishes that day while dropping some stuff on the old barbarian's beautiful clearing. Kinda pissed me off...
I think RoDSs are not that rare. I get them with almost every char I manage to preserve to the deeper lvls of CoC.

I usually end up with 3 - 5 RoDS, if I at least reach the Blue Dragon Caves, otherwise I'm lucky to get one.
I've played probably 400 characters (feels like I've played a million!) and found 2 Wands of Wishing combined for all of them, then recently had a character (my Plutonium Man winner) find like 4 of them! Now I'll probably go through another 500 PC's before I find another one. That's ADOM luck for you!
As far as Grave Digging goes (to somewhat relate to the original post), I've nver found anything really good in them, except maybe one or two Potion of Gain Attributes.

I've only found a WoWi once, but if you go to the ID and scum it long enough you will find that RoDS.

Gravedigging hasn't been much use to me, cept its a potentially profitable way to change your alignment

I've never found a WoWi, but I've had quite many RoDS.

Spoiler
If I want RoDS from !oE the I go to the casino, I have noticed that you only need about 4-6 !oE to make RoDS there

I've never got an emperor lich from a grave, and I think I once got Hammer of the Gods and Farslayer from the same graveyard. But lich kings are hard enough... stupid summoning.

My gnomish weaponsmith got 2 RoDS from gremlin pickpocketing, I usually find a couple.

I've encountered two WoW, I encountered one with 5 charges with a scummed char, and one with 0 charges.
