It means there is a 'big room' A special dungeon feature that takes up about 1/4 of the level. It's filled with monsters along a paticular theme. Sometimes orcs, sometimes minor undead, gnolls & hyenas, ect... occationaly you'll find one that has a random collection of out-of-depth monsters. |

a room full of the same monsters somewhere on the level.. for example: a room full of goblins, and so on.. kind of like a "you sense a certain tension" |

Maybe. They're full of a random monster type. Can get difficult in areas with a high danger level, like deep in the CoC. Also extremely annoying if you get one full of vortices early in the game. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. Yep, recently got a room full of swamp hydras in the dwarven halls. Considering what might turn up there, I suppose I was lucky. You know you've played too much ADOM when you try to throw coins at people wearing similar clothes as yourself. |
