So yeah as usual my char is on its way to get precrowned (never say no to a free artifact). My problem is I'm N= and on UD4. So I don't have a clue what to do to quickly drop/raise my alignment. Any tips? |

they are as easy as finding a potion of poison. one of my winning characters had only one potion of poison (that i knew) generated. The point is, sometimes they come around easily sometimes they don't. |

I guess most of you didn't look at the acronym UD and the word quickly. Anyway, I found 1 billion blink dogs and killed them :P Am I the only one always getting something shitty like whirlwind (i hate slings), black tome, jet black glaive or ironfist (it works but still not). Been precrowned like 10 times always gotten one of these. I've also had the whirlwind all of the 4 times I've had a surge of power. |

I was just thinking that too, I often seem to get the same things when precrowned: wyrmlance, twice shining long spear soaker, twice jet black glaive long sting, twice rune covered sling whirlwind, three times and a bunch others once, of course. I've also found whirlwind about five times in various places, including twice, uncannily, dropped by an ancient blue dragon in the BDC, and the glaive long sting twice in undead greater vaults. that's weird considering the huge number of artifacts I've never seen. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

I have precrowned my self only about five times, got so far: iron crown of havlor, vanquisher and some shit icluding whirlwind. Surges of power - I think I've gotten WW two times. But I've also had Robes of resistance, executor, vanquisher... those are what I recall. |

I use Togu's patch, which up untill recently i didn't know screwed up the Precrown list. I got vanquisher in one game with a Beastfighter and suicided in frustration. Ive never gotten the black tome. In the few precrowns ive done i have gotten the hammer of the gods, Natures companion leather armour, scorched spear. I don't have too much luck with altars, and i dont have the patience to farm for herbs to please the gods. |

Crowning comes from a set list of artifacts, but precrowning can give you anything. I usually have good luck with precrowning. I've never seen vanquisher, but I like using shields anyway. |

Bah, I almost always get the Black Tome... Too bad you can't sack the crap right back. You know you've played too much ADOM when you try to throw coins at people wearing similar clothes as yourself. |

I've got good luck too, Wyrmlance and Nature's Companion have come many times. On real crownings, Ring of Immunity and Sun's Messenger many times. But I'm waiting to get the Black Tome as precrowning... I'm sure Adom has it coming soon. |

If you are running the patch on your game, just use another .exe to generate a savefile, then move it to the patched one, and your artifact list will not be screwed up. What does a god say when your precrowned? I know when your crowned he tells you you have been crowned but I dont think Iv ever been precrowned. Stuff happens & you cant stop it, unless you can. |

question about precrowning, i have a level 8 trollish healer and she gets the god is very close to you message (after i tried for precrowning and got stuff unvursed) now my prayers are unheard, whats wrong? do i need to be level 9? Im currently LN.. |

SOMETIMES you can get precrowned at very close, but that usually happens on your second/third precrowning, and I've never done it. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. btw, right after giving up i went back to CoC and ran into some vault that ended up killing me, think it was jackalas actually, lol i had been ambushed so much in thw wild they got too strong, killed 400+ IIRC |

are you sure you were high leveled enough? every artifact generated makes you need 3 more levels for precrown0r |
