This is the story of Ash. The fated Gray Elven paladin. After a long day of meditation and relaxation in his peaceful, valley home, The goddess Ayssia summoned him to her plane of existence, only to bestow upon this mortal a quest of utmost importance. This newly ordained paladin was to vanquish chaos, and all of its minions. Steeling himself for the task at hand, Ash trained for a year and a day. Not only honing his skills, but gathering the necessary equipment for the job ahead of him. The pride of his inventory was the newly crafted Elven armor, which simply shone underneath the midday sun. He lost track of the days it took to make his way towards the Drakalor Chain. The supposed chaos hotspot. It was obvious when the valley started however, for his horse would simply go no further, he had to cross the short mountain path on foot. Sword drawn and expecting the worse, he was surprised to find a well-trimmed path to a friendly village. On the outskirts he noticed a sign “Welcome to Terinyo, Home of Munxip’s Magnificent Munchies Mall!” Ash sighed, this was going to be very different from the refined Elven vistas he was used to. At least the villagers recognized an important person when they saw one, rolling out their idea of the red carpet and bringing him before the Village Druid immediately. The Elder was obviously steamed he was left out of the exchange, but he didn’t have any useful information to part with when talked to later. Finally! The paladin thought, his first tangible quest. Slay the evil sorcerer who has camped in the caves to the east. But what’s this? A little child pines for her dog. The dark druid can wait, the little girls sobs were getting on his nerves. His training had truly not been enough. Monsters quickly surrounded the Elf, and when dispatched others soon took their place. Beating a hasty retreat to the stairs seemed the only solution, and took him one step closer to finding that human’s lost pup. Longsword and himself covered in blood, though none his own, continued his march through this dank cave. Little did he know that the forces of chaos had foreseen his little expedition to thwart their schemes, and had laid the first ambush just steps ahead. Warcries pounded the Elf’s sensitive eardrums, and a horde of gnolls tore into the corridor as the walls exploded around them. The first few were fodder to his blade, only seeming to strengthen the holy warriors resolve. Magical scrolls and weapons dropped, along with a few piles of that precious substance gold. During a lull in the fighting, he picked up one such scroll and read it, only to find he suddenly understood the properties of the weapons he was now carrying. Quickly switching to the Battle axe of Vamprism, he discovered that it healed his recent wounds when a creature was struck a blow. He could feel Ayssia grumbling in anger at his use of the forbidden magics, but he was too busy grinning at his newfound battle prowess. All but a handful of the beasts had been felled, and Ash had not a mark upon him. These last few seemed much larger and more ferocious than their fallen comrades however. And it took all the luck he had to slay the chieftans bodyguard and come face to face with his first real foe. They exchanged blows, the gnoll hitting more often, but the Elf healing when the axe struck home. Finally, Ayssia thought it amusing to trip up the mere mortal who though it wise to go against the will of the gods, the chieftain quickly noticing the misstep and finishing the job he was brought here for. Sure there would be other adventurers, but for now the forces of Chaos would be safe to wreak havoc to their illformed hearts desire. |

This character only lasted a few minutes, taking much longer to write up the story than actually play. But it was fun nonetheless. Written up in Microsoft Word, hope you enjoy |

Good. Liked the arrogance of the elf. Why didn't you flee from the fight? If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
