Wait...If he has the Ring of the High Kings he can get past that barrier without doing the wall Tower of Eternal Flames?... So he can do all the other temples before Fire, and get totally beefed up? |

strange thing i found... i have the wall of flames on lev 27, but it covers a stairway... leading upwards! earier, when i descended from level 24, i found myself on lev 28! on that level then, there were two stairways, both leading upwards. one of them bought me to lev 27, where the next stairs up are covered by the wall of flames. ever seen something like that? ps. which level you need to be (circa) to try the ToEF? |

ToEF, depends on what class you're playing, your equipment and stuff. A char around level 20 could be nice. Remember, lots of healing stuff(use herbalism for instance), intrinsic fire resitance + a couple of other sources of fire resistance and fireproof blankets and some equipment of higher metals, not iron, are absolutely necessary. Rings of ice and dragon slaying ammo are very useful. Also remember to take a wand of digging with you. You don't need to kill everything there. If things get messy, try to just kill the wyrm, pick up the orb and get out of there. It's useful to try to lure it out of the temple, so your not fighting 40 monsters at once. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. Yeah I find I get that weird level progression at WOF every time I get there. Go down from CoC:24 to about CoC:30, then you have to come up a few levels and find your way back down. I guess its ok once you get past casino to the darkforge shortcut, but this still gets quite disorienting when you get there and even frustrating when I am still getting over the death of my last PC. Sigh.... Tell me how to get stronger.... |
