I''ve noticed people talking about having rediculously large amounts of money early in the game. Where do they get it all? right now I'm level 16 and have 17k. I sold a couple useless artifacts and sis, but you don't find much in dungeons and the arena doesn't give you that much money. Any financial advice?

seeds if you've got survival

For the Good "Bob" selleth all, even the least and the last; and all buyers are joyous unto his selling.

And those who knoweth not the Good "Bob" from the Evil "Bob" shall verily sell away their souls, and shall be lost.

A Good Advice On Getting Ridiculously Large Amounts Of Money In The Beginning (tm):

ID is the key! You will find lots of stuff there, including lots of money. 6-7 hours of real-time playing in the ID - and you're level 20 and have $500000.

Also, for the God's sake, don't sell the artifacts! It's better to save a dozen of them and sac them all at once to become Champion.

I'm with Alex on this one. You rarely find anything useful to buy. There are about two things that I actually use my money for: training with Garth and crowning. A merchant has the ability to throw coins but you don need 500K of ammo.

Early in game it's quite useful for training with the masterthief.
He's kinda expensive!

Mining, gemology and smithing are useful skills here. Gems are more than worth their weight in gold, and ingots sell for good amounts of money as well.
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

I once noticed a message saying "He got the traders' guild to own him money" in someone's history file. Just wondered how can one accomplish this marvelous deed?

Pick up a water potion while having the poison hands corruption - the trader's guild must pay you the diffrence of price between water and poison.

IIRC, you can't dip potions, that you did not pay for.

i think that would be really stupid, since shopkeepers charge more for blessed items then uncursed. ^^

I don't see why you would be able to dip items and not potions that you didn't pay for

That's right, just checked - you CAN dip unpaid items, but you won't get the shopkeeper to owe you money this way. It must be the poison hand corruption to get the score-warping "got the traders guild to owe him money"

Did you just check with blessing them? How about exchanging them, via chaos or otherwise

Didn't check exchanging or dipping in raw chaos, but I suspect it's just as it is with other potions:
Blessing them will just increase the price, poisoning them with PoPoison will also just change the price. Only changing cheap potions with poison hands will result with a payment from the shopkeeper.
