If my memory doesn't trick me, that's the message you get when you pray while low on PP and your god gives you a full PP restoration instead of HP... did you check if your PP were not at their maximum? what i don't know, though, is if it's possible to get both things restored with just one prayer, i.e. both your HP and PP are at ~75% of max values, and since you're not *desperate* for HP, then you get both restored... I ramble again... anyway, that's my view on the matter. |

That message means your pp got refilled. dosquarts, I'm pretty sure it's not possible to get both filled. I think the priority goes food (if hungry!/starving) then hp, then pp, then cursed items. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

gods hate doing it though, so don't try it if your piety is low. yes, it's possible to have a god uncurse your item, immediately followed by 'take this for your impudence!' you glow in a black light (all stuff cursed) What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

yep, i know all about the bad effects of praying. created a character once just out of spite, just after creating him made him immediately start praying over and over. of course, he ended up zapped by the god. the fun part of it was the score, try this out if you want to see it... it said: "(...) he scored 0 points. Well, okay, actually he scored -3557 points" That was fun. |

How heavy on piety is that PP filling ? I was thinking about using prayers to quickly fill my PP when trying the Archmage-process. I guess it's best to sac something every now and then but it should still be faster than waiting in wilderness for PP to regenerate. Sac-fodder is no problem, ATM the char has some 11+ million gold pieces (mostly collected from BDC via numerous trips) and other stuff stored near an altar. It would be kind of interesting having something like several hundreds of prayers listed in the victory flg... Sytytä toiselle tuli ja hän pysyy lämpimänä jonkin aikaa. It's pretty cheap in the beginning, but when it starts going above 10-20 it costs _alot_ of piety. |
