Ok, so this kick ass character I've been developing recently just came back to Dwarftown for some much needed stat-boosting. He accepted the "slay greater demon" quest, and when he was victorious, went on to spend money on training with Garth...

...Only to find the training hall completely empty. Garth was gone! Read a scroll of monster detection, and discovered that there was no trace left of him.

The only reason I can think of is the darned demon being generated in the training hall, and killing Garth right before getting killed (in melee) by my level 17 wizard. Considering the ease with which it was killed, I must say I expected more from a well-seasoned trainer as Garth. Pffft.

Ok, better start finding the ingredients for PoGA instead...
You know you've played too much ADOM when you try to throw coins at people wearing similar clothes as yourself.

There's no such thing as "too expensive" when you hit the casino :)
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

Well I think you can compensate that. After all there is PoGAs, herbs etc.
And as for an experienced trainer, he might give good training but that does not mean he can fight well (for example, Yergius teaches and trains some useful skills but falls easily to a couple bolts.)

I too had the problem of Garth beeing slewn by the deamon.
And I used a wish on getting a "dwarven weaponmaster" back, which succeded.
After calming him down he gladly accepts money but now I am not sure if it works..
I've put aboute a mill in each of the attributs and I can't see any increase after aboute an hour of realtime play..
Is it suppose to take this long?
I am already lv50 so any level increases will not help to boost it..
My basic dex is only 21 so it should increase dracsticly I thought...

Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure you need to level up to increase trained stats..

According to andy's each increase will be garanteed to happen during levelups, but the game also checks for possible increases at random(?) occations between levelups.. (same as with herbs it will increase after a while?)
And since you can get skillincreases after reciving lv50 I don't think this is the reason.

I am more concerned that this wishedfor weaponmaster doesn't trigger the right code to make an increase, but just has his common dialogue active.

So anyone ever did this before?

Another thing..
Is there a list where the probable dangerlevel of finding each items are stated?

As of this moment I am looking for potions of booze.
