What about achieving level 50 without killing a monster? I know that you get xp for succesfully disarming traps, so it should be possible :P Klavert -I want ye to slay a rat to prove your valor- Thrundarr That really happened to me :D |

hmm... perhaps the ID? hunting for levels with trap-filled rooms... i reckon these are fairly more frequent once you're deeper than I:20. it would be nice if there were "tougher" traps in tougher dungeons, i.e. harder to find/disarm, to give you some more exp. |

Gnomish bards. Gnomes level up fast. Bards MIGHT get those skills. If they don't, they can get their pet to kill stuff for them untill they have enough money to buy the skills. Pets can also be used to attack monsters until they panic, as offering peace to panicing monsters gives exp. I think. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. you would have to go TOEF first before you can get to mana temple and i think that would be pretty hard without killing enyone, but the assasin guild, maybe? |

think how many monsters you have to kill to get to level 50. monsters including stuff like greater molochs and ancient dragons and orb guardians. All the traps in the mana temple and the assassin place and the minotaur maze and a few trap-filled rooms adds up to about 300 traps, each of which gives about as much xp as a kobold. I reckon it would take you about a year of playing just to survive to level 6 this way. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

Well someone have already beaten the game with a level 1 char, so that much is doable with some good pets and a lot of patience (and luck). Getting to level 50 without killing stuff though... Dunno if that is possible. I mean sure in theory, but even wtih a gnomish bard you'll probably be looking at several years worth of solid play time in order to rack up enough exp without kills.
