Artificer's Hammer (3d6+3 damage) allows you to improve items by adding a random pre-/suffix to the item. given by doing some very hard quest for the weaponsmith in dwarftown. ivan.sourceforge.net |

How about the One Ring? +10 DEX, +15 PER Curses, dooms +invis. +immunity to aging +fire resistence Autocursing Corrupts when worn (maybe even when carried?) OK, it wouldn't be USEFUL, but it would be cool, better than hurthlings starting with a cursed ring... |

So hurthlings would start with an unwanted artifact making it harder to precrown? And they should start out doomed and cursed and with a corrupting ring that can't be destroyed? That's pretty harsh, you know. |

Plus - Hurthling thief artifact only, forced to have the name Bilbo - Every ~50 moves or so you get the message "You mutter the words 'presscioussss, my preciousssss'" - Chaotic creatures sense your whereabouts. - Occasionally summons wraiths - Wearing it on the palace of andor drakon, it would immediately remove itself from your finger - destroying any gauntlets (even artefacts) and give itself to andor drakon, he doubles in power. - Scrap autocursing and without message have it appear on your finger at random intervals (if taken off) removing any other ring. In adom is platinum girdle for this who never make any chaotic act... And what whits this person who never make lawfull act?;) Hmmmmm ofkorz it will be curupted you, cursed, doomed, permamently cursed item, when you wearing it, you are surronded by unholy aura;) grants immunity to shock, fire, cold and fire... Hmmmmm yes you have right.... maybe Sauron find The One Ring on 49 level chaos dungeon when he throw a uselessness potion?;) I think, maybe I'm wrong... but items can make you cursed and doomed, not only chaos trinity... ChT is necessery to entrance to chaos planet, but if yourself are doomed and cursed without items you are death.... maybe you can wear ChT and something else... And at last The One Ring You can wear in ChAoS:)... Idea with The One Ring is cool;) I like it... |

Yes I know it's very old thread... But Mindcraft have idea for artifact for chaotics, when you are a true paragon of chaos;) Any good thing in game;) In level 50 you get a obsidian dagger;) He has one special ability:) All kills are sacrifaced for your god:) Only if you are champion of chaos. You hit and slay kobold... His blood slowly flow on the ground and sink in the ground, You hear a plesaed voice Ni'Pregh... When you killing you get a a little expa (like for sac monster) No corpse and items. When you make something lawfull, dagger just kill you... You are self sacrificed;) It would be very nice dagger;) "Insect, we care not for thee. Disturb us any we will extingwish thy weak candle of life" |

IMHO: Best non-artifact weapons : Dual wielded Phase Daggers, or 1 Phase Dagger and 1 Sword of Sharpness Best artifact weapon : Vanquisher Best non-artifact armor : light eternium plate mail of travelling Best artifact armor... I don't think I've ever found any... not counting gauntlets/boots/helms/etc. My signature is umop apisdn. |

Me too - no Vanqiusher:( But i've found KinSlayer (Very nice), Wyrmlance (nice too but not as good), Axe of the Minotaur King (Great!) Artefact Armours? Ancient Mummy Warping, Robes of Resitance (this is GOOD!), Fine Leather Armor (This is really good - but if you have ring of immunity the robe is better). There are more but i haven't foud them... A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

Wicked? I think I'd prefer murderous (+ chance of critical hits is better than +3 dice, especially on high exp levels when the exact weapon stats don't really matter). Anyway I think I'd prefer sth one-handed, so I could have a shield or a phase dsagger in the other hand. |

I think the best weapon in the game is a spear of penetration. No matter what metal it is made from. As for armor, I have always liked Nature's Companion. |
