Does anyone agree that the Mindcrafter class power acquired at Level 12 is kind of useless? Once the Mindcrafter gets the "Eye of the Mind" craft a few levels later, he/she will probably never use the Level 12 power again.

To directly compare:
Level 12 - Tells you how many hostile monsters that have minds there are on the current level
Eye of the Mind - Shows you all of the current monsters with minds on the level

I'm also pretty sure that the Level 12 power will eventually cost the Mindcrafter more PP than Eye of the Mind. What's the point?

For the same reason that he doesnt start with greater telekenetic blast. Or the big wave mindcrafts.

Of course you are right, but my main objection is that the Level 12 power is a class power - it's not just a mindcraft, it's a class power. Usually the class powers are interesting, but this one really isn't. And why should it cost more than its superior? Telekenetic Blast doesn't cost more than Greater Telekenetic Blast.

It's about a million times better than most of the other class powers.

At level 50 wizards get so called "basic" knowledge of all spells
Abso-fucking-lutely useless - upon visiting library they receive *all* spellbooks including "Wish"

Don't forget healer level 18: use First Aid and Healing on others. Pretty useless unless pets are a major part of your playing style.

You can evade monsters in wilderness. Anyone can do this (Do you want to (F)ight, (E)vade or (A)mbush?), but a 25 lvl ranger will always evade if he wants to. (no chance to fail an evade attempt... that's sooo usefull for a 25 lvl char, isn't it? :P )

What does that " turn undead " actually do? I've never had lvl 6 priest or lvl 12 paladin, so I don't really know... :D

It turns undead :P (Makes them run away, if they fail a test)

It's crap. The only things it works on are lesser undead (zombies, skeletons, ghuls) which are not exactly hard for a level 12 character.
