yes, there is undoubtably a similar thread, but I DONT CARE! ;)

My favorite artifact is of course the wonderful and amazing Bracers of War, they regen, add dex and do cool shit! also they are the only pair of artifact bracers in the game and they pretty much do everything that all the normal bracers do.

Ring of Master Cat, it adds LOTS of dex, speed, and [+0, +5], and represents the char has adhered to certain principle (!!!), what's more it gives fate smiling upon, critical hits and see-invisible ^^

Preserver.

Yeah, I know it ain't too powerful but everytime my character finds it, I know he is going to go very far (well, not always to the end but close very often).

Especially casters come nearly unkillable when they wear the amulet. Maybe it's some kind of psychological thing or something. Dunno.

I've always liked the Ring Of Immunity, as you then no longer need to worry about breath attacks. It makes those Karmic Dragon greater vaults quite easy.

Never found Bracers Of War, and I always manage to kill at least one cat. Bah.
You know you've played too much ADOM when you try to throw coins at people wearing similar clothes as yourself.

I like playing Orc Barbarians so it is a toss-up between BoW or Vanquisher...nice when I have both :-P

I like the cow axe, mainly cause it's hard to get, but also the fat damage and confusion resistance is cool.

Axe of the Minotaur Emperor indeed. More damage then Vanquisher, and the whole feeling of having a 1200s axe in your hands... priceles :D

Ring of Immunity is useful early on, Bracers of War later.

I like the Ankh, but only because I'm still stuck at ToEF, and the only non-guaranteed artifact I've found was auto-cursed.

By no means especially strong, but I'd still have to vote Serpent's Bite for the fun factor.

Oh... then I like the Ankh because none of my characters have ever found a non-guaranteed artifact.

Bracers of Great Speed...

I have vowed to make an ADOM character with extreme speed (Quicksilver Quarterstaff, BoGS, etc.) forever, but I still havent gotten around to it yet. :P

Still holding strong in last place at #64 of the HoF for Untimely Deaths! Woot!

I like rune-covered trident, especially when playing raven starsign. You'll get it after you have advanced to level 16, which is VERY early. Just use teleporting or ring of fish, if you haven't found water breathing items, to speak to the water dragon. Other favourites are BoW, Preserver and Sun's messenger. And Serpent's bite&phase dagger dual-wielded. Just had an elven bard who got it as crowning gift. Almost every hit was critical. Unfortunately ACW blasted him. Sigh.

I like any armor that's the best in it's class. Iron crown of Havlor... Preserver, RoRes, BoW, Protector... etc.

I only ever once got the rune covered trident at level 16, and I didn't get a chance to enjoy it. I got it right when I was about to do the second dwarven quest, and the stairs I tried first went to DH. I wanted to go through the animated forest, so I was about to leave, but I saw a potion on the floor of the room I had entered. Tried to pick it up, and it was a mimic of some kind that instantly paralyzed and killed me.

I think Mummy wrapping is a great artifact to have around for its see invis property. It took me a LONG LONG time to kill the cat lord with see invis.

Hmm, i haven't gotten many artifacts. I mostly use the dwarwen rune axe "Rolf's companion". OK damage, returns when thrown and gives a slight DV/PV bonus.

The other artifact which is quite useful is the Elemental Gauntlets. Protects from all kinds of elements and can't break -> Protects rings!

My favorite artifact? Honestly?...the scorched spear. I get it about 10x more often then other non guarenteed artifacts, and it usually drops in the vault with the puppy :) Doesnt it give Cold immunity too? I hate the mummy wrapping, so its a decent source of that.
