The random monster quests are often a royal pain. What character were you using? Some have argued that confronting the threat from Drakalor could detract from the war against Chaos. it was a dark elven barbarian. actually, it was a bit stupid to rush into the quest because i already had literacy from a dark sage corpse. I just like to do the elder's quests as soon as possible. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

I guess king's rarer than prince? In that case I feel for you. I had prince once but was fortunate enough to find it shortly after, on the level above the forest and dwarven halls I think. I've also had ghost lord. I think I dug up a grave in the dwarven graveyard, and let a master lich summon some. |

my latest got giant slug... UGH. Ended up poking around in the TOHK much sooner than i normally would and got whacked by a large group of summoners in a cavernous level... one of them summoned a large group of swordsmen, and after 4 turns i was fighting unarmed (disarm, disarm, disarm, CRAP!) and slowly being picked to death by the enourmous number of shoddy monsters they summoned. |

I went from Terinyo area to the ID to the CoC to couple of times looking for a raider to slay, and while I usually found quite a few of them, I couldn't find ONE! Not even in Holeinthewall! I eventually got beat down by brown worms after getting Doomed from a pool. (I had Fate Smiles before that). The first one paralyzed me, and every third attack afterward punched through my 28 PV. Thrundarr, I want you to take that random monster quest of yours, and shove it up your ancient dwarven ass. To prove your valor, of course. Return to me when you have succeeded. Thrundarr just gave my currently pretty feeble elven archer a corruptor to slay... Not sure I have ever even met one before - anyone have any idea where I can find one without going below Dwarftown? |

Try the pyramid. If you haven't yet checked the lesser vault at the bottom of the puppy cave, try that - it's often a mixed vault and has a good variety of creatures in it. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |
