How often do you find a spellbook of wish on lvl 1 of the village dungeon? Well, that's just what my level one human necromancer did yesterday. Now i just have to be *extremely* careful with that necromancer, and then i'm set for finishing the game. ^^ http://tankefel.blogspot.com/ So far you have only killed one wild cat. |

Never :). I've just once got a spellbook of wish outside the library. That happened in blue dragon caves. After all wish spell isn't that useful. It costs -10 to random attribute, which is pretty nasty, unless you are lucky enough to lose charisma or appearance. It also costs 3000 pp to cast it and you rarely have that much pps even while playing level 50 wizard. But reading the book trains Le, which is the only way to use a spellbook of wish that I find useful, unless you are trying an archmage victory. |

I've only once got the book, ever, with a wizard in the library. I'm pretty sure I only read it after finishing the game. |

Update: my necromancer got to level 40 and got blasted to death by nuuran.. nuurn... the chaos archmage in the mana temple. Furthest i've ever got. *sob* http://tankefel.blogspot.com/ So far you have only killed one wild cat. |

To cast Wish, you need 3000 pps, which is quite a lot. But if you cast it on silver/darknight, it costs only 1500 pps, which is also very much. Very few characters ever got 1500 pps, without the mana corruption, and even with it, it takes a long time. And when you finally manage cast it, it drains -10 random attribute. Quite nasty, if it drains St, To, Wi, Pe or Dx. Don't bother if it drains Ma, Ch, Ap. So basically it is not worth it, you have already probably everything you need when you can finally cast it. The rust monster touches your blessed Trident of the Red Rooster. Nothing happens. You laugh at the monster's pitiful attempt. |
