Yes it posiblity, but it's need a lots of ingots. I had something about 500 normal mithril ingots and 100 blessed and make mithril cap [+13,+20]. Dragon armors need to upgread adamantium ingots. Lots of ingots, and food:)

Favorite Class(s): Merchant-- more powerful than one might think; fun (at least for me) because you have to rely on things other than brute combat ability or spellcraft. Honorable mentions: thief, assassin, necromancer

Favorite Race: Drakeling-- decent strength, toughness. Most importantly though, they have the best skill selection of all races, including food preservation to find more corpses; alertness to avoid nasty creature spells and traps; and music, which makes the bug temple a breeze.

Favorite Weapon: Spear (at least when compared with nonartifact weapons)...along with a shield make a decent defense possible for any character. Easy to find special spears from hill orc patrols, orc patrols, and orc vaults.

Favorite Artifact: Undecided.

of the artifacts i've encountered so far, my favorite would have to be Ironfist. then again that's probably because it's the only non-gaurenteed artifact i've encountered, and so it's the only one i've had that i havn't had about 40 times. *g*

Favorite Race: Dark elf
Favorite Class: Monk/Beastfighter
Favorite Artifact: Ring of Immunity
Favorite Skill: Find Weakness

At first, monks are hard to play...relatively wimpy to start...but after about level 13...incredible damage, great DV, some spell casting...and no need of a weapon or even armor!
The only armor Ive found that works for monks are either elven chain mail, cloths, robes. Everything else gives deficits. But with such a DV...who needs armor?

But this is just me.

Treasure Hunter? What does it do, and how do you get it? I can't seem to find it in the manual...

You need the Alert and Miser talents before you can get it. It makes you find more treasure (quite a lot more) I never play without it. It was left out of the manual, for some reason.

Race: Drakeljing

Class: paladin & barbarian... paladins are kinda Tankmages when they get experienced and well.. barbarians just can deal huge amounts of damage :)
weaponsmiths are cool too, just finished the game with one!

Artifact: Bracers of war, obviously... compared with 100 healing, candle starsign and natural regeneration time of about 10~ you regen like 2-6 points / round. :)

Skill: I guess alertness (mana temple..) or herbalism (spenseweeds & for raising WI and TO, why not even dex)

*slightly offtopic*

To be honest I dont think that Treasure Hunter does very much at all, but I still cant do without it since I keep thinking that I'd be missing out on something if I didn't have it =)

Thunter gives you 50% more change of an item to be generated, it doesn't effect the quality tho... so with thunter you can expect to encounter 50% more itamzj0 than without it. :)
