My family finally decided to get a new computer after my old one started acting up again. I simply compared it to my old car, and said it would be a waste trying to dump money in repairing it. Both car and computer are now junked :)

Compaq presario with an Athlon XP processor, 160 gigs of memory, 512 MB of DDR ram. DVD and Cd writer. Even got the newest Nvidia video card when we bought it.

Now we get to see if my addiction to roguelikes was because of my crappy computer being unable to play any new Good games, or if Adom and Tomenet hold true appeal :P

Certainly "true appeal". My family's computers are upgraded regularly (currently it's an Athlon XP, 512 RAM, and the last addition, Radeon 9500 pro graphics card), and what do I play? ADOM, Warcraft II and Baldur's Gate :D

An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel.
A realist sees a train.
And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks.

I must admit im playing the new Paper Mario RPG more than Adom these days, but once i beat it that will probably change. Im getting halflife 2 for the PC and Starwars Kotor 2 for christmas.

Ill play those to death in the first month or two, then go back to Adom.

You always go back to Adom, whether you want to or not.
