just spent about the last hour wandering all over the map draining pools, and going all the way back to altars to remove cursing/dooming . . god am I sick of it. but it's worth it: You are fire resistant (gained through an item). You are poison resistant (enhanced through an item). You are cold resistant (enhanced through an item). You are lucky (enhanced through items). Fate smiles upon you (enhanced through an item). You are sleep resistant. You are petrification resistant. You are teleporting. You are able to control teleportation. You are paralyzation resistant. You are resistant to death rays. You are shock resistant (enhanced through an item). You are able to see invisible things (enhanced through an item). You are able to resist confusion attacks (gained through an item). and best of all . . . You have an amulet of life saving in your pocket :) only downside is, he's middle aged, but I have alchemy, so that won't be a problem for too long. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

I've never really had luck with pools... I've drained darkforge twice and haven't ever got a wish. I don't really like permanent invisibility anyway. However, my current character, an archer, has some nice intrinsics... here's a sample: You are immune to shock attacks. You are immune to fire attacks. You are immune to acid attacks. *grins* |

Quite a luck ;). Has anybody ever got every immunity without wearing RoI or TotRR? It is possible for weaponsmiths. That would be kinda cool. Usually pools just reward me with uncontrolled teleportisis and doomed+cursed. It is very rare to get that good instrictins. But once I got two wishes in the darkforge from pools :) The rust monster touches your blessed Trident of the Red Rooster. Nothing happens. You laugh at the monster's pitiful attempt. pools blow unless your game started on the creators b-day, but a tip, wear a blessed anhk, and 2 blessed RoL, you should get a with or 2 from darkforge. i just stay away unless i already consider my char dead...then, what the hell |

I usually try darkforge as a last way to get a AoLS. With the luckincreasers I usually find them worth it. Be sure to have a bilnkdog corpse stored in a shop somewhere though. It's quite annoying to loose control if your permanently teleporting. And ofcourse stop drinkin if you get doomed or cursed. Some say it's impossible to get a wish while doomed. I say it isn't but it's really rare... |

It's a mistake to drink from pools unless you have a method of curing sickness, a waterproof blanket, a fast way to get cursed/doomed removed, and the ability to fend off Water Elementals. May thy wisdom be omnipresent. |
