Hello, is it possible to use stealth to "sneak up" on somebody and backstab them. Oh and does anyone have tips for playing an assassin? and what do you think is the best race to play as one |

Every turn you take there's an automatic stealth check that determines whether monsters notice you or not. Stealth is a passive skill, so you can't "a"pply it, but your score in that skill affects how often monsters notice you. So yes, you can use stealth to sneak up on monsters and backstab them. Race? I dunno. Pick something with skills that you like. |

Trollish and elven assasins get my vote. And maybe hurthlings, if you can raise their physical attributes a bit. The smurf punches through your armor and hits you. You die... |

If you like backstabbing that much, attack a monster than run away. Sooner or later, a stealth check shall make the monster "does not care about you". Now you can backstab is again. |
