i have and idea for a new feature, inspired by the movie TerminatorII:) imagine the Frost Bolt wouldn't just freeze the monster and make him die; instead it would literary freeze him, transforming him into an ice statue. the monster would be then counted as killed, and the statue itself would be an item. it would eventually melt, or the player could shatter it to pieces by kicking it. or pick it up and carry it around. or hurl it against a wall what do you think about the idea? i'll register an RFE at adom.de when the site will seem to come back to life |

What would be the point? it would only add weight, and it would make frost bolt to powerful. if you made a spell like IcePetrify, that might work. Give a man a fire, and he will be warm for a day. Light a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life. |

no no, the spell would be exactly as powerful as it is - the freezing effect woldn't be instant, just occuring when the monster hitpoints reach zero normally. it's just like the effect of a Fire Bolt, which cooks the poor creature's body, in additon to killing him |

if it got rid of the corpse, that would make some wizards very unhappy. If you started out with frost bolt and maybe teleport, you wouldn't get any food. Give a man a fire, and he will be warm for a day. Light a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life. |

it would get rid of a lot of the tension room food. Give a man a fire, and he will be warm for a day. Light a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life. |

I just don't see what the point would be. How would a frozen monster be useful? |

Throw it at locked doors or cover hives probably... May thy wisdom be omnipresent. |

I got a better idea! ANIMATED DOOR! Ugh! The door is stuck. Suddenly the door starts to move! It attacks towards you with all it's door-ish might!!! * Whack whack whack * - Leave me alone, you mean door!! :´( The smurf punches through your armor and hits you. You die... |

I suppose you could have a spell called IcePetrification, and it would work like the normal petrification, only it would cost around half as much. maybe you'd get potions insted of wands, if you smashed it before it melted... Give a man a fire, and he will be warm for a day. Light a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life. |

It could, in theory, be made to 'refrigerate' a beastie's corpse, to prevent rotting. Just like fire bolt cooks a corpse, frost bolt freezes it. Not a bad idea in theory. |
