there's a problem with it... instead of showing the score to the left of the name/mode of death/etc it shows a bunch of symbols...

Oh?

I don't have any problems with it...

Does this happen all the time? What browser and OS are you using, does it happen to all the site or is it limited to just one section or version?

If this is a persistant problem it would be nice if you also sent me a screenshot of just how it looks, might help me figure out what is happening...

i only just got it for the first time yesterday... i'm using MS IE 5.5 on win 95 (old aint it? =) well i got this computer in '97, so...). i get it all over the site. hmm... but when i do copy-paste i get the score rather than the symbols. i think it may have something to do with the font. i didn't get it until you changed the look of the HoF.

Hmm, try this:

Create a new files called "test.html" and paste this into it:
------ cut here ----
<HTML>
<BODY>
<DIV STYLE="font-family: monospace;">1234</DIV>
1234
</BODY>
</HTML>
------ end cut ----

Open it in your browser and see how it looks. If the first line is messed up like the score it would seem your browser has problems with monospaced fonts...

You might also want to check your browsers encoding (under the "View" menu). By default it schould be set to "automatic" and use "Western European (Windows)" encoding...

first line was messed up.
BTW i'm far from computer illirterate... just seemed like you were talking as if i was... the browser's never been messed up before w/ monospaced fonts. on the old look were the scores in a monospace font?

Sorry if I offended you, I just find it saves time to asume everyone is computer illiterate rather than have to explain something 5 times if it turns out they are...

Anyway, the monospaced font is new, the old look didn't use it...

Hmm, it's possible the font file your browser uses for monospaced fonts is corupted or something, go though your monospaced fonts and see if any of them are messed up...

In the meantime I'll tweak the style a little and give it a list of possible fonts to use...

Ok, I have tweaked the style, now it will first look for two spesified fonts (Courier New or Arial) before it resort to the monospaced "class" (monospaced doesn't refeer to any particular font and can look different from system to system).

Does it work now Duke?
