Hello. I just recently downloaded adom and tried to run it on my computer. It keeps quitting due to a sigserv errror and then it lists some stack addresses. Has anyone out there gotten ADOM to work in XP. If so, can you help me. I'm going to try booting my computer today with a dos boot disk and then run it, but any other sugesstions are welcome. Thanx Sydney Avelgri |

have you downloaded the dos or windows version? You must have the windows version to get it to work on atleast 2000, not sure about XP though "I don't know what World War 3 will be fought with, but I know World War 4 with be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein |

I used to be eable to use the DOS version under XP too (haven't tester after SP2), but it seems to vary greatly from computer to computer (you could try tweaking DOS memory settings and such). I would recomend using the winbeta version on XP, it feels a bit strange when you are used to the fullscreen DOS version, but at least it's more stable under Windows. Jan Erik Mydland HoF admin |
