A trick that you may find useful, especially when going for ultra - changing aligment late in the game is not easy.

step 1 - get a LOT of money from the casino (how much exactly - depends on exp level, current and desired aligment, my 30 lvl wiz needed about a million to get from C- to L+)

step 2 - go to Hole in the wall, leave most of your stuff (so that the money would be on the first page of inventory) somewhere safe, in the room with Yergius for example, or the opposite one (lock the door of course)

step 3 - lead a beggar to the Yergius' house and make him stand in the corridor between you and locked door, like this:
########
+@@ +
###+####

step 4 and final - open a file in a notepad and write a line " ga1000" (without the " but with a space before g), a is the position of gold on your inventory, put whatever letter is appropriate. Make more of those lines - I used 20, you may make more, just watch out not to starve (or run out strenght of atlas if you have it on to carry this heavy gold ;)).
You should have something like:
ga1000
ga1000
ga1000
ga1000
ga1000
...

Copy all of of them. Paste them into ADoM. Repeat. Watch your aligment rise :).

Hope it will help someone ;).

Well, I have actually never problems with alignment switching. I always do crone quests as soon as I get everything needed, mostly around lvl 18-25, when I'm going for avatar ending. It is still easy to get L+ with some sacrificing and an amulet of order. And when I'm going for chaos god ending, I stay lawful most of game, and after I've acquired TotRR I turn chaotic.

I had a problem... maybe it's because I'm going for my first ultra ;). I finished crone quests on lvl 30 or 31, but I was C- (killed one eternal guardian for exp (and for fun ;)), and a stupid white unicorn who attacked me in the casino ). 9700 black stones. I put on blessed amulet of order and armor of balance but it would take me eternity to reach at least N. Tried saccing small amounts of cash at grey altar - the god blasted my equipment, stupid me :P. But then I used a mighty artifact - The Guidebook ;). It said that giving 1000 gold to beggars rises aligment (2 stones for 50 lvl PC). So I thought how to give the money fast ;).

I've just done one ULE, and I was done the crone quests by level 24 or so, so alignment wasn't a problem.

You might also consider using Vladimir's AdomBot to make a script that handles this better; eats when Hungry, stops if starving or Lawful+ would probably be the main functions.

Another semi-easy +alignment method is available if you took the carpenter quest and you have an easy way of healing creatures and creating traps... once your healing skill is at 100, the village healer will give you a potion of ultra healing every time you show mercy (you can only do this once per creature I think). Simply lure enimies over an acid trap (try to get stuff that will actually survive it; rats generally should because they will be fairly strong by this point in the game), heal them, take your reward, and repeat. The potions are of course useful themselves, but every potion you give the healer raises your alignment by +250*. (*Alignment changes are modified by a formula; this will be about +5 at level 50, 10 at 49.)

Drowning pets or friendlies in the water dragon cave and healing them is also good for boosting alignment. If the healer was generated you can also get potions if you don't mind the long trek. You can probably even lure the healer to the WDC and heal him!

Yesterday my lvl12 gray elven archer got to L+ in A FEW TURNS, after sacrificing blessed Black torc to his deity. He had just converted to L, so it is about +4000 white stones. Can this be possible. I know that sacrificing some evil stuff is lawful, but THIS lawful?

Because of the low Clvl I think... the higher level the harder to change aligment. On low levels you can change it a lot with no problems.

Yes; level matters a lot. Sacrificing is pretty complex and I haven't really done much research into it yet so I can't give much more insight into the specific incident (the gain may have been less than you think; perhaps what you did to gain lawful pusehd you higherthan you thought, for example). All _positive_ increases depend on level greatly (negative ones are still full effect at level 50)... the formula is 51-Level * 0.02 for that section. So you'll get all of the increase you deserve at level 1 (though, several other factors can modify it too), and only 0.02 (1/50) of the increase at level 50.
